How SOCOM Arena Works:
SOCOM Arena Ladder Rules
- Please take your time reading over all the Rules related to the ladders you will be participating in. It is your responsibility to know what all the Rules are and to abide by them.
- Your participation on the ladder signifies your agreement to abide by the Rules; violations will be dealt with according to the Rules and regulations of the site.
- If you do not have a challenge accepted we will not be able to make a ruling on your match. It is your responsibility to make sure that the challenge has been accepted before you play your match.
- If a room is being remade for any reason the game must restart with the same players that were in the game that was remade. Substitutions of any kind can only be made in-between maps or at the very beginning of the game; hope that helps as far as an explanation of occurence.
- If you are using a staff member as a Referee please make sure that you verify that they are on the staff page with the name they are using to Referee your match. If they are not please notify a member of staff. DO NOT green up until someone from staff has come to verify the fake Referee.
- All match decisions are final. If you are not happy with the outcome or you think that the ruling was unfair please put in a Support Ticket.
- The use of outside communication to give out locations during matches is strictly prohibited. This includes online messenger service use, and phone communication. (e.g. Nextel and AIM)
- AIM conversations are not considered proof without the presence of a Referee or an Administrator to witness it. If there is a situation that requires a member of staff to be available for an AIM 1-on-1 please put in a Support Ticket requesting an online chat meeting.
- In the event of a score glitch, the map both teams were on will be remade and the match will continue with the same score and side selection. This includes any kind of glitch in the game that may prevent a team from winning a round when they should. (ex. The last player on a side is dead, but is still shown to be alive to everyone else or in the case that a Referee accidentally kills a player on either side.) The only exception to this rule is if a player knowingly performs a glitch, this will result in a loss of map and a possible strike on account.
- Camera Phone pictures will now be accepted as proof as long as the clarity of the picture is good. If you want to present a picture for proof it must be sent in via a Support Ticket. Other acceptable forms of proof are as follows: Digital Camera, Web Camera, Video Recording Device. Please keep in mind that if you are found to be sending in fake pictures or videos your account will be subject to a strike, deletion, or expulsion. The use of screenshots from your PSP is prohibited as you must have a hacked system in order to have this program. This will be determined on a case by case basis.
- If you green up and the map begins you are agreeing to the map as is (the only exception to this rule is regarding match time and round count those can not be changed under any circumstances); this includes map selections, ringer names, and uneven odds, this also includes the off chance that a Referee has missed a ringer name. Once you green up you have agreed to the map, ringer name included, as it is your responsibility to be aware of the opposing team roster. However, if a ringer is discovered after you have greened up then they will not be asked to leave until the end of the map with no voids being given for that match.
- Warnings/strikes will be given out by the Administrators if any person/team breaks one of the Rules listed above. Leaders keep in mind that you are responsible for every member of your team. If your inability to control your clan can and will reflect poorly on you and your account.
- Site Abuse – This will NOT be tolerated; any form of abuse on any messaging service, chat room, forum, or in game will not be tolerated. Anyone caught abusing the privilege of being a member on SOCOM Arena is subject to a strike on their ladder account or infraction on their forum name; excessive abuse will result in your accounts deletion and/or your IP being banned from this site. This, however, will be handled on a case by case basis.
- All rules have been written with the assumption that the map randomizer will be used. If you choose not to use the randomizer please make sure that your match notes reflect the maps that will be played.
- If there is a Referee present during your war please do not leave the room prior to the Referee saying it is ok to leave. The reason that we ask you not to leave is because a hack test may be required and we will need to make that announcement so everyone is aware. Only a Referee can request a hack test. Players may not request hack test.
- Rules are subject to change at anytime so it is important you check them often.
General Match Set-up
- Any member of staff can referee a match if need be. Please ask the Referees first, then the Administrators and finally the Management.
- All players on your team must be on the teams’ roster 3 hours before the scheduled match.
- All matches must have an official challenge accepted within the match scheduler. If you fail to ensure that your match has been accepted the staff at SOCOM Arena will not be able to make a ruling since the match was never accepted. In the event that the match scheduler is down contact an Administrator and schedule the match with an Administrator present to verify the match was scheduled and agreed upon.
- At minimum, you can have a clan war 5 vs. 5 or 4 vs. 4 on the squads ladder. (exception is FTB - see below).
- Friendly fire is to be turned on at all times (exception is FTB – see below).
- Rooms are to be made with 6 min per round No exceptions.
- Round count must be set to 11 rounds per map No exceptions.
- Spectators must be turned ON and a password placed on the spectators box for the use of a Referee or Administrator (exception is FTB – see below). If you know you will have a Referee present the Referee will choose the password for the spectator box, so please contact them before you make the room.
- (If you are using the map randomizer) The highest ranked team gets to choose Seals or Terrorist for the first map. The clower ranked team gets to choose Seals or Terrorist on the next map. The team who wins the most number of rounds gets to pick the side for the 3rd/5th map. Example. Team [C!] vs. *SE*. [C!] wins first map 6-2 then *SE* wins 2nd map 6-5. So [C!] gets to pick sides for the third map because they won a total of 11 rounds and *SE* only won a total of 8.
- In the event of a tie, the following is how it will be decided which team chooses on the final map: The team with the higher MVP point total will get pick of the last map. If it is still tied after checking the MVP totals then the Home Team, defined as the team that has been challenged, will get choice.
- (If you are using the map randomizer) If neither clan is ranked then the clan that was challenged (Home Team) will get first choice.
- All matches must be played in their entirety, unless a delay is agreed upon by both team leaders, with a staff member present in the room or on AIM.
Crown Shots
- Crown Holders on any ladder must play a minimum of one match per week if challenged, or the crown will be removed from your account.
- The Crown Holders can not refuse a challenge.
- Please make use of the Crown Matches Forum, located under each ladder specific section, to set up your matches. This will avoid any confusion with the match set-up.
- The same person or team may not challenge the Crown Holders more than once a week. This gives everyone a chance to get a shot at the Crown and prevents the same people from always taking that opportunity.
Account Roster
- All account rosters must contain a valid email address, AIM s/n, and must house at minimum 5 members before you are eligible to play a clan ladder match. If they are not present, your account will be subject to deletion.
- If your account is inactive for a period of 1 month, it will be deleted.
- You must have a valid roster on your account within 24-48 hours of signing up or your account will face deletion.
- All players must be on the roster for 3 hours before they are eligible to participate in a clan war. The only exception is if the clan was created on the same day.
- A player may appear only on one account per game and ladder type, No exceptions. What this means is if you have more than one name, you may not appear on another clan roster using your alternate name. This also means that you may not have more than one account on the same ladder. If your name, AIM, or email is used on more than one account that account will be deleted; no questions asked or warnings given.
- All names must match exactly what is listed on the roster. If it does not, your account will be looked at for the use of ringers and can be subject to deletion, a warning, and/or indefinite banning.
- No account may house additional ghost names for use in case someone was not added to your roster in time. You may not keep fake names or names created with a universal password on your roster for use by members who did not create that name for their personal use.
- The rosters are to be created with the following limits:
Clan = Unlimited Members
Doubles = 3 Maximum Members
Singles = 1 Maximum Member
- Please pay close attention to the other team’s roster. If there is a ringer and you start the match by greening up nothing can be done about the ringer until the end of that map. Referees can only tell the ringer to leave and the match will continue on with no voids.
- If your clan is found to have a ringer you must fix the roster and bench the player. That player is then ineligible for that clan war and the 3 hour rule is then in effect once the update to your roster has been made.
- If a team is proven to have brought in a ringer mid-match, they will automatically lose that map and be given a strike. Keep in mind as leader of the clan you are responsible for your roster and the names appearing on it; if you fail to update your roster properly it is not the fault of the staff making the call against you, it is yours. (Warnings are decided by the Administrators)
- If a team is caught using ringer names the account is subject to deletion/warning and the loss of 50 XP. All ringer names will be looked at and handled on a case by case scenario.
No-Shows
- If a team does not show and green up within 15 minutes of the scheduled match time they are considered a no show. The team that did not show will lose 50 XP, along with a strike for their account (at the discretion of the Administrator handling the case). The team that did show will receive 50 XP, but not the win.
- For your match to be looked at by an Administrator/Referee for a no show ruling, you must have an official challenge accepted and have proof that the other team did not show; this proof can be obtained by calling in a Referee if one is not available on the staff page please call for an Administrator. If for some reason no Referee or Administrator are available please contact a member of Management.
Reporting Match Outcome
- The loser has 1 hour to report their loss If it is not reported within the 1 hour time period, the losing team will be issued a warning/strike. You may place in the notes that the Referee/Administrator present is responsible for reporting the match to make sure it is done within the time limit.
In-Between Maps
- Between maps, each team is given five minutes to make substitutions and reassemble their team before the next map is to be launched. If one of the two teams fail to green up before the 5 minutes are up, they are subject to losing that map at the Referee's discretion. You can not use pictures to prove this. A Referee/Administrator must be present.
Fake Wins/Accounts
- If you have fake wins or are giving free wins to other accounts, your account will receive a strike. Once two strikes have been reached your account will be deleted and/or banned. This will be handled on a case by case basis.

Section 1: SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo 1, 2, and 3
Match Set-up
- You can not play a clan more than once in a 3 hour period (01/08/07), all matches played within that period will be deleted.
- The SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo ladder will house three separate ladder types:
Singles: 1v1
Doubles: 2v2
Clan: 3v3 up to 7v7
- SOCOM Arena provides referees for you to use and hopes you take advantage of them, if you choose not use them or there is none avaible at the time of your war please take pictures/videos so that you can show proof of your victory.
- Please make sure you specify the rules you want for each map and how many players are partaking in clan war. NOTE: Clan matches cannot be played with less then 3 players on each side. If a match is found to have been played less then 3v3, it will be void.
- Keep in mind that although every match does not require the use of a Referee we will have Referees available for your match. However, in order for a Referee to participate you must ensure that the room is made properly to accommodate the use of a Referee. Since SOCOM:FTB does not allow spectators, the Referee(s) will join the game as a player. By 5:45 (or as soon as possible) of each round the Referee(s) will commit suicide, WITHOUT injuring or killing any player in the game on either team. In the event a player is accidentally killed by the Referee, the room will be remade with the score being what it was before that round commenced (aka the score glitch rule – listed above).
- The general match set-up data is as follows:
Round Count: 11 Rounds (Cannot be altered even in the notes)
Round Time: 6 Minutes (Cannot be altered even in the notes)
Friendly Fire: Off as Default (May be altered in the notes)
All Weapons: On (May be altered in the notes)
Grenades: Must be turned on at all times No Exceptions.
Health Regen: Optional
Free For All and Extraction are not valid map types and can not be chosen in a clan war.
- If the notes for a clan match specify that inelligible players can play then they are allowed to do so as long as they were added before the notes were accepted.
- All rooms must have a password to prevent others from entering the room who are not participating in the match.
- Voting out a Referee will result in the loss of that game 6-0
- If a player illegally comes in a game (crashing a game, or coming into the game for one team to give that team more than the agreed to match size, i.e. 4v4 and one side now has 5) the match will be replayed from the score of the match before that player entered the game as an alive player
- Any cheating, glitching, or actions unbecoming a clan on these ladders will result in actions taken against that clan, from lose of XP, to strikes, and in worse case scenarios expulsion from the site.
- Roster sizes:
Singles: 1 player
Division: 2 players
Clan: 3-Unlimited players; Clan matches will be played with 3-7 players per team
Mass Boots
- In the event of a mass boot, the map both teams were on will be remade with the same map, and continue on with the same score and side selection.
Miscellaneous
- The use of rapid taunts is prohibited during a clan war and will be subject to lose of map and/or a strike on your account. As this can cause the room/player/team to lag we have decided that this will be considered illegal. (A Referee must be present or a video must be taken.)
- If you green up to a match you are accepting how the map you are about to play is made and the players you are going against regardless of what the notes say. Unless the map is Tug of War and you specified a point limit then you shall remake the room.
- ISO/Slim abuse: First time a player abuses it they will receive a warning from the ref, The Second time the team will loose the map 6-0 and the player will be asked to sit the remainder of the war.

- SOCOM Arena has available for use a map randomizer in the event that both teams can not agree on which maps to play. If both teams agree they may choose the maps that will be played; if not then the map randomizer is to be used.
- Please use the match notes to discuss the use of vehicles; if both teams can not agree on the use or non-use of the vehicles, then they will be allowed by default.
- When warring with teams of 8 members or less (on each side) please set the room up to a maximum of 16 players so that the map sizes will not be too large, unless agreed upon otherwise.

Section 3: SOCOM: Tournaments
- Matches are required to be accepted on the regular ladder in order for the tournament match to be considered valid. You must also use a Referee for your match to ensure proper game play and to validate your tournament match. Once your team has been awarded the victory the win must be reported on both the account ladder and on the tournament by clicking report match. Keep in mind that the forums are used to house all the tournament match details so please use this to schedule your match. Once scheduled on the forum please proceed to make the official challenge on the ladder. This will be the only way we know a challenge has been accepted.
Additional Standard Rules
- All Tournament matches are to be played using the roster limitations set forth in the respected Rules for that ladder, e.g. SOCOM: Combined Assault tournament matches are 16 vs. 16 and SOCOM: Fire Tean Bravo tournaments are to be played 7v7 (This is so there is room for a Referee on both sides) unless otherwise agreed to within the limits of the Rules. However, if you do not have the appropriate amount of players available you must either play or forfeit. No delay of game will be called as the match set-up was scheduled by you. If you do not have the appropriate amount of players available and can get the other team to agree to play with less players then this must be agreed upon with a Referee or Administrator present. Map Specific Tournaments will be played using the above Rules.
- All maps will be chosen by using the randomizer and will be played best of three. The final match will be played best of five, no exceptions. Please specify all relevant information in the notes, e.g. playing less than 7 vs. 7.
- When a match is scheduled a clan leader must inform an Administrator or a member of the Management so that a Referee can be assigned to the match. The clan leader (or the member of the team scheduling the match) must ensure that the match details are also posted on the forums to validate the challenge.
No-Shows
- In the tournament, a no show is defined as a clan match that was not played within the time allotted or a clan that did not show according to the agreed time scheduled on the forums. It will also be considered a no-show if a match is not played within the allotted time frame for that round. In this case both teams will be disqualified and receive -50XP.
Mass Boots
- In the event of a mass boot, the map both teams were on will be remade with the same map, and continue on with the same score and side selection.

- If a match has not been played on the last day of that round, a member of staff will make a post as to the time and location of the default room. Your team will then need to show up to this room ready to play. If only one team shows they will advance to the next round of the tournament, they will also receive 50XP for showing and the team that did not show will lose 50XP. If both teams do not show then they will both lose 50XP as stated in the rules above.

This is to ensure that the host is not lagging which can/will create an advantage to the host team. If the host is found to be lagging then the room will be remade by a different host and another lag test is to be conducted until there is no lag issues. Both teams must be in agreement that there is no lag in order to proceed with the match.
